SCHEDULE INFORMATION

Scheduling for baseball and softball is a complex process which cannot be determined in advance.  It is dependent upon a variety of factors, including the final total number of registrations, field availability, and each manager's personal availability.  Older divisions will likely practice at least once per week and play 1 to 2 games.  T-Ballers will likely play on a fixed weekend day at varying times and locations.

Baseball and Softball Hitting Clinic at EHS Upper Gym

45-minute sessions on Saturday afternoons 2-5PM - 4 sessions on the following dates: 12/9, 12/16, 1/20, 1/27

Instruction will be provided by Coach Dean Tartarian.

This registration is for all adults who are able to donate their time to assist our children through instruction of baseball/softball.  As mandated by Little League International, "all local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular services to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams."

This clinic will cover hitting, throwing, pitching and catching fundamentals, while introducing level-appropriate game strategy. This baseball clinic is perfect for players of any skill level, from beginner to experienced.  Below are some more examples of what will be reinforced.

What is the Little League Challenger Program? 

The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. 

Who can participate in the Little League Challenger Program? 

Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations, they should do so. The Eastchester Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-12.

Little League International encourages the use of "buddies" for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays by themselves. The buddy is always nearby to help when needed.

Schedule

2024 schedule TBD, but to get an idea, last year's schedule was at Chester Heights on Saturday mornings from late April through late June.  9-10AM for 4th grade and up. and 10-11AM for Pre-K through 3rd grade. 

All registered children will receive a full uniform. 

Must be resident of Eastchester, Tuckahoe, or Bronxville.

Registration is open for Little League ages 6-7 (born 9/1/2016-8/31/2018) winter baseball season.  Boys will play a winter season with games each week.  Pre-assembled teams are welcomed to register.*

Registration is now open for our 2024 Winter Pitching Clinic for boys' baseball.  This program will be led by Eastchester's own, Coach John Doherty, a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox.    Coach John was drafted in 1989 right out of Concordia college, and we are honored to have him back in our coaching lineup!

This clinic will run for 5 consecutive Saturdays at Eastchester High School (Upper Gym) on the following dates:  2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 3/2, 3/9

Cost of the clinic will be $150.  An additional fee of $50 added if a catcher is needed. 

Players will be scheduled in 30-minute time slots from 2PM to 5PM, in small groups of 5 max.  We are not able to accommodate time slot requests.　

ELL strongly encourages participation in our pitching clinics for players interested in learning and maintaining proper pitching mechanics.
