Girls born between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2007 will receive dedicated instruction in 45-minute time slots either 7:30-8:15PM or 8:15-9:00PM on the following (8) Sundays (subject to change):  1/31, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14,  3/21, and 3/28.  Cost for the 8 week hitting clinic is only $150.00 and will be led by TEB Softball instructors.  Slots will be assigned once all registrations are completed.  PLEASE NOTE, we are only holding 20 slots for this program!

Baseball Pitching:

Registration is now open for our 2021 winter baseball pitching instructional clinics (ages 8-12) being taught by our own John Doherty, a former Major League pitcher with the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox.  

Due to COVID 19, this year's pitching clinics will run in 2 five-week programs  each week running 30 minutes (time preassigned between hours of 6:30-9:00pm)**.  This year's pitching clinics will be located within the Tuckahoe Community Center Rec Room (71 Columbus Avenue, Tuckahoe) on the following dates:

Session 1:

Jan 13, Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb 10 

Session 2:

Feb 24, March 3, March 10, March 17, March 24 

**Again, once registered, your son will be provided a designated 30 minute time slot on either Wednesday and will remain his time slot for the 5 weeks.  Due to limited space and to keep our groups small and safe, there is unfortunately no switching days/times week to week.

The fee for each 5-week clinic will be $130 (plus $50 if a catcher needs to be provided).   A discount of $10 will be applied to those individuals choosing BOTH sessions (i.e. 10 weeks).  NOTE, the discount will be applied at checkout.  BOTH sessions must be selected and paid for in order for discount to apply.

Coach Doherty's pitching programs always sell-out quickly so please do not delay in registering your son ASAP!

Softball Pitching:

Our 2021 Winter Softball pitching clinic which will once again be instructed by Coach Alexa Rosella. This year's pitching clinic will also be located within the Tuckahoe Community Center Rec Room (71 Columbus Avenue, Tuckahoe) on the following (6) Saturdays in 30 minute session assigned slots between 12:00-3:00:

Registration for the 2021 Eastchester Little League Spring Season is now open!! Boys and Girls ages 4-12 can register using the link below.  If you are unsure of what little league views your child's age to be we have a chart on our website under home-age determination. Please be aware that this registration is for little league age only (Boys born between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2017; Girls born between January 1, 2008 and August 31, 2017).

This registration is open to all girls born between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2007.  Games and practices will take place from March through June (with probable extension through summer).  Fee covers all costs associated including entry into one or more weekend tournaments.  Deadline to register for this team (to allow time for uniform sizing/order) will be Sunday, March 7.

Our "Challenger" Division enables boys and girls with special needs, ages 4-12 to enjoy the game of baseball and softball.  Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.  These games will take place on Saturday mornings from late April through late June (similar to Tball).  All children registered will receive a full uniform.  Little League International encourages the use of "buddies" for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed!

Saturday mornings 9-10AM at Chester Heights - 4/24-6/26

This registration is for all adults who are able to donate their time to assist our children through instruction of baseball/softball.  As mandated by Little League International, "all local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular services to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams."

We are very excited to have Coach TJ Walsh return to our program, current Eastchester High School Junior Varsity Coach to conduct our catcher's clinic this winter.  TJ is a former Eastchester high school standout who went on to catch at Concordia College.

Registration is now open for our 2021 Fall baseball instructional pitching clinic for boys and softball instructional pitching clinic for girls.

This clinic will run for 7 consecutive Monday evenings at Haindl Field from 9/13 through 10/25.  Each session will be 30 minutes between 6pm-9:30pm.

Cost of the clinic will be $150 for 7 weeks.  If you need a personal catcher, we can provide one for an additional charge ($70).

We strongly encourage participation in the pitching clinic for players that are interested in learning and improving proper pitching mechanics.

Players will be placed in small groups based on age.  We are unable to accommodate time slot requests.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS:

John Doherty  graduated Eastchester High School in 1985 and was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 1989 Major League Baseball draft out of Concordia College, New York.  A former right-handed pitcher for the Detroit Tigers/Boston Red Sox 1992-1997.    He led American League relief pitchers with 107 innings pitched - 1993 led Detroit Tigers in wins with 14 -1992 led Detroit Tigers starters in E.R.A.  Concordia College – Captain (1988 & ‘89). Career record of 24-6.  John has 15+ years of instruction in baseball camps, clinics and private instruction.

Margaret Scarcella - has been coaching softball to girls ages 8 to 18 for the past 25 years.  She is a graduate of NYU where I played basketball.  In addition to coaching, she is a Certified OTR as well as a NASM-CPT.  She is currently the girls varsity basketball and softball coach at the Hackley School in Tarrytown, her alma mater. Her teams have been very successful in making the playoffs in six out of seven past seasons.  She is enthusiastic and has great passion for the game which carries over to her players.
Her current 18u team just completed their current season ranking #2 in NY State and ranked #1 in the state last season (our own Maggie O’Hare was a pitcher for this team).  Most recent, she was named Director of Softball Operations for Fury Softball out of Game on 13 in Elmsford.

She believes in the girls having fun while emphasizing the basics and the technical understanding of the game.  She grew up in Yonkers, NY and is mom to 3 wonderful girls and proud grandparent as well.

Rookie Boys-Eastchester Little League is proud to announce its first ever “Rookies Summer Baseball” season for 6 and 7 year old players. Our goal is to provide a relaxed, low key summer baseball experience for interested players who are looking to continue to build their confidence and skills following our highly successful Rookies spring season.  The season will consist of 6 to 8 weeknight games (NO WEEKENDS!) beginning the week July 4th and ending the week of August 8th.  A light practice schedule may also be involved.  Enrollment is limited as we are looking to field between 4 and 6 teams – so act fast!  The registration fee is $150 and will include a team shirt and hat.   Please reach out to Tommy McDonough (Tjmcdonough07@me.com) with any questions about this program.

Girls Softball MLG (Ages 6-7) Summer Season-We’re proud to announce our first ever “Minor League Girls Summer Softball” session for six-and-seven-year-old girls (born between January 1, 2013 through July 1, 2015)!  The MLG summer softball session will be a relaxed, low-key summer softball experience for interested girls who are looking to continue to build their confidence and skills following our outstanding Minors spring season.  The season will consist of six-to-eight weeknight games (NO WEEKENDS!) beginning the week of July 4th and ending the week of August 8th.  A light practice schedule may also be involved.  And with your registration (and at no extra cost), the girls will also be able to attend a softball clinic on Wednesday nights run by Jamie Lorenzo.  As many of you know, Jamie grew up playing softball in the Eastchester Little League, was a star player at Eastchester High School, and played college softball at Concordia College.  She coached at Concordia for years before taking over as the head coach.  We’re grateful to have her willing to give back to the program where she started, and she will be assisted by professional instructors for the summer clinic.

Eastchester Little League Baseball camp offers children the opportunity to work on and improve their fundamental baseball skills in a safe and fun environment. The children  will be developing all of the tools needed to play baseball both recreationally and at a higher competitive level.

Players in the camp, whether they are beginners or advanced, will work on fielding, hitting, base running, and importantly overall field awareness and intelligence. 

Each player will not only have a great time in the camp, but he will also have the chance to truly learn and improve in the game of baseball. Weekly camp activities include skills stations, contests, and game competition. 

EASTCHESTER BASEBALL SUMMER CAMP

Coach Jesse Waters is the Director of the Baseball Camp.  He was head baseball coach of Hastings high school for 14 years, before being named varsity head coach at his Alma Mata, Eastchester.  At Hastings, his team won three league titles, two section championships and was named three time coach of the year.  After high school, Jesse played baseball at Concordia College. 

Coach Jesse’s love for the game of baseball and teaching is only surpassed by his understanding of young people.

The camp’s assistant coaches are:  

• Coach Dom Cecere, Jr. Coach Dom is entering his 23rd year as a coach at the Eastchester Summer Baseball Camp. He is a former assistant baseball coach at Eastchester High School, former head baseball coach at Hastings High School where he was named league coach of the year (2 times), is a former Director of the Summer Trails baseball camp.
• Coach John D'Arco Sr.: Former coach at Eastchester and Tuckahoe High Schools for 33 years, coached his Tuckahoe Baseball Program to two NY State Championships and also guided the Tuckahoe Football Program to two NY State Championships and attained Coach of the Year Honors in Football (twice) and Baseball.
• Coach John D'Arco Jr: Former assistant varsity baseball coach at Tuckahoe High School where he was instrumental in guiding the “Tigers” to two NY State baseball championships. This will be his 22nd year as a camp coach.
• Coach Vincent Todino: Assistant varsity baseball/football coach at Eastchester High School and former head coach of College of Mount Saint Vincent baseball.
• Coach Joe Utschig: Head modified baseball coach at Eastchester.  Coach U is a graduate of Westlake high school where he was a four year starter for the varsity baseball team.  He went on to play baseball at the College of Mt. Saint Vincent and is currently a P.E. teacher at both Eastchester middle and high school.

Special Appearance

We will communicate detail plans and required procedures regarding clean surfaces, bathrooms, sanitizers, masks, etc. once available.  All participants will be required to sign a waiver.

9u-16u    Camp hours: 9:00am to 12:00pm - (Early drop off available)

The camp is located at the Saggese Field (Town of Eastchester Baseball League Field) at the corner of Ewart and Woodruff Streets (GPS Address -118 Woodruff Avenue) in Scarsdale and at O’Rourke field on Garth Road, Scarsdale

• A maximum of @30 campers per age group per site (Garth, Saggese, Dunwoodie) will ensure social distancing rules and thorough instruction in all phases of the game. A camp shirt is included and refreshments will be available. 
• Eastchester Summer Baseball Camp is open to children ages 9 (as of June 1st, 2021) through 16 for a cost of $450 per 2-week session or $875 per 4-week session for Eastchester, Bronxville or Tuckahoe residents or $475 per 2-week session or $900 per 4-week session for non-residents. An additional one-week session, after participating in a 2-week session will be $250 per week - depends on availability.  This will be a separate sign-up for an extra week.
• EARLY SIGN-UP DISCOUNT BEFORE April 30th - FOR ELL, TYA, & TEB PLAYERS - for a cost of $425 per 2-week session or $800 per 4-week session for Eastchester, Bronxville, or Tuckahoe residents or $450 per 2-week session or $825 per 4-week session for non-residents. 
• Baseball Camp is available on a first come, first serve basis. There is a $25 fee for all refunds.  All rain dates will be made up.
• Registration will close on Monday, June 14th.
