This terrific instructional clinic is open to boys (ages 8-12) and girls (ages 9-12) who are interested in learning more about the fundamentals of the catcher’s position (i.e. framing, blocking, throwing).   We will assign players to small groups (separate for baseball and softball) and clinic times based on age/experience. Cost of the catcher’s clinic will be $150 for 6  weeks (45 mins per session) between 2/27-4/3. 

Boys/Girls will be receiving dedicated instruction Sundays in 45 minute time slots between 4:30-7PM at the Eastchester Middle School gymnasium.

We are very excited to have Coach TJ Walsh return to our program, current Eastchester High School Junior Varsity Coach to conduct our catcher's clinic this winter.  TJ is a former Eastchester high school standout who went on to catch at Concordia College.

Registration is now open for our 4-week instructional clinic which will run consecutively on Sundays starting 2/27/2022 through 3/20/2022 at Eastchester High School's main gymnasium. 

We only have so many volunteers and limited indoor space so spots are limited.  Please do not hesitate!!!

Cost is $100 per player.

This instructional clinic will run for 6-weeks on Wednesday nights at A-Game Sports in New Rochelle.  One-hour 7-8PM for 8-9 yr olds and 8-9PM for 10-12 yr olds.

The first 3 weeks will focus on fielding.  The last 3 weeks will focus on hitting.

Dates are as follows - 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 3/2, 3/9

This registration is for all adults who are able to donate their time to assist our children through instruction of baseball/softball.  As mandated by Little League International, "all local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular services to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams." 

Coach Jesse Waters is the Director of the Baseball Camp.  He was head baseball coach of Hastings high school for 14 years, before being named varsity head coach at his Alma Mata, Eastchester.  At Hastings, his team won three league titles, two section championships and was named three-time coach of the year.  After high school, Jesse played baseball at Concordia College. 

Coach Jesse’s love for the game of baseball and teaching is only surpassed by his understanding of young people.

The camp’s assistant coaches are:  

Ø  Coach Dom Cecere, Jr. Coach Dom is entering his 24th year as a coach at the Eastchester Summer Baseball Camp. He is a former assistant baseball coach at Eastchester High School, former head baseball coach at Hastings High School where he was named league coach of the year (2 times), is a former Director of the Summer Trails baseball camp.

Ø  Coach Joe Utschig: Former varsity and modified baseball coach at Eastchester.  Coach U is a graduate of Westlake high school where he was a four-year starter for the varsity baseball team.  He went on to play baseball at the College of Mt. Saint Vincent and is currently a P.E. teacher at Eastchester middle and high school.

Ø  Coach Mike DeGasperi: Matt played baseball, captained, and was an integral part of Hasting-on-the Hudson’s back-to-back Section 1 Championships! He caught for four years in college at Rider University.  After college, he returned to coach the Hasting Yellowjackets, both as an assistant and head coach, for 10 years.   He is currently serving as the Assistant Varsity Coach for the Eastchester’s varsity baseball team.

Ø  Coach Matt Stern: Matt is the modified baseball coach at Eastchester.  He has 5 years of coaching experience in various sports.  Matt was former captain of Eastchester’s varsity baseball team under Coach Dom Cecere.

2nd session: Monday 7/11 - Friday 7/22

9u-16u    Camp hours: 9:00am to 12:00pm - (Early drop off available)

An additional one-week session may be available, ONLY after participating in a 2-week session for $250 per week - depending on availability. There will be a separate sign-up for an extra week off-line at the camp.

The camp is located at the Saggese Field (Town of Eastchester Baseball League Field) at the corner of Ewart and Woodruff Streets (GPS Address -118 Woodruff Avenue) in Scarsdale and at O’Rourke field on Garth Road, Scarsdale

• A maximum of @30 campers per age group per site (Garth, Saggese, Dunwoodie) will ensure social distancing rules and thorough
  instruction in all phases of the game. A camp shirt is included and refreshments will be available.
  ➢ Eastchester Summer Baseball Camp is open to children ages 9 (as of June 1st, 2021) through 16 for a cost of $475 per 2-week session or $900 per 4-week session for Eastchester, Bronxville or Tuckahoe residents or $500 per 2-week session or $950 per 4-week session for non-residents.
  ➢ An additional one-week session may be available, ONLY after participating in a 2-week session for $250 per week depending on availability. There will be a separate sign-up for an extra week off-line at the camp.
  ➢ EARLY SIGN-UP DISCOUNT BEFORE April 30th - FOR ELL, TYA & TEB Players - for a cost of $450 per 2-week session or $850 per 4-week session for Eastchester, Bronxville or Tuckahoe residents or $475 per 2-week session or $900 per 4-week session for non-residents.

The summer program will consist of an evaluation process to determine program placement for which your child may participate.  This evaluation process will help to give your child the opportunity to be placed in the appropriate program to compete within their skill level as well as maximize their opportunity to improve.

Options will include

a) travel team at an advanced level of competition,

b) travel team at a competitive level, or

c) or our instructional clinic program.

Program will be based on age and placement determined at the sole discretion of the league. 

We are very excited to introduce this opportunity to the community for our children to play baseball or softball this summer regardless of their skill level.

Our "Challenger" Division enables boys and girls with special needs, ages 4-12 to enjoy the game of baseball and softball.  Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.  These games will take place on Saturday mornings from late April through late June (similar to Tball).  All children registered will receive a full uniform.  Little League International encourages the use of "buddies" for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed!

Schedule anticipation:  K-3 10-11am and 4th grade and up from 9-10am on Saturdays (subject to change).
